We'd like to congratulate ET Water Systems LLC for being awarded a coveted 2006 Technology Innovation Award from The Wall Street Journal! The Bay Area company, and early client of Adaptive Path’s New Ventures Program, won for their groundbreaking landscape-irrigation system. The Wall Street Journal singled out ET Water Systems for, among other key indicators, their innovative use of Web-based controls.

These controls allow users to specify outdoor watering needs at their homes or businesses. The software that runs the irrigation system is very user-friendly and interactive, allowing users to input details down to soil type and vegetation. (The system checks the weather conditions for you.) We are proud to have contributed to this amazing product, and once again offer a hearty huzzah to our friends in Corte Madera.

“We consider Adaptive Path to be a major contributor to this, and certainly a reason our product has gained as much traction as it has.” —Bruce Cardinal, CEO, ET Water Systems

Rave reviews for Designing for Interaction Dan Saffer’s new book Designing for Interaction is receiving rave reviews in the press.

Leo Frishberg in UXmatters says “Whether you are simply curious about interaction design, are entering the profession yourself, or are collaborating with an interaction designer, Designing for Interaction is a good place to start your journey down the road of interaction design.”

Bob Jacobson in Total Experience says “The most accessible and instructive book I’ve read about interaction design—and more. Dan’s exposition of design thinking is as important as is his fine job of explaining the how-tos of interaction design.”

Adaptive Path evolves management approach. In 2004, Adaptive Path’s founders mapped out a growth and management strategy for our company. In the two years since, we’ve tripled our staff, more than tripled our revenue, and have worked with some of the world’s biggest and best organizations. Now we’ve reached a key milestone in that strategy as Janice Fraser, who has skillfully managed the company during this period of growth, wraps up her term as CEO. Janice remains an integral part of the Adaptive Path team, while Jesse James Garrett and Peter Merholz now jointly take on the role of President. We’re grateful to Janice for all her hard work, and we are looking forward to what the future holds for all of us.
