Adaptive Path Provides Design Strategy for MySpace Relaunch Adaptive Path is proud to have worked on the design of the revamped MySpace.com, scheduled to launch globally on Wednesday, June 18. Adaptive Path’s partnership with MySpace was announced last Thursday by TechCrunch.

In a project spanning more than nine months, Adaptive Path’s team of experience strategists and designers worked in close partnership with developers at MySpace to reimagine the MySpace experience and deliver design improvements across five major site areas: the MySpace home page; a global navigation system; site-wide search functionality; the user profile editor; and an embedded video module.

“This redesign represents some of the most challenging and exciting work we’ve ever had the opportunity to engage in,” said Ryan Freitas, Experience Design Director at Adaptive Path and leader of the Adaptive Path team on the project.

The June 18 relaunch of MySpace, the largest scale effort ever undertaken for a site its size, is only the first wave of innovation to come out of the partnership between Adaptive Path and MySpace, with more changes for the world’s most popular social network rolling out in the coming months.

“We’re tremendously excited about our ongoing collaboration with the MySpace team to help them deliver an even better experience to their millions of devoted users,” said Jesse James Garrett, President and co-founder of Adaptive Path. “This relaunch clearly reflects MySpace’s commitment to innovation and user empowerment,” Garrett said.

Part of Fox Interactive Media, a division of News Corp. (NWS and NWS.A), MySpace is the most trafficked website in the United States and the number one social networking site on the Web.
