User Experience Week 2006: Conference Session Description

Events Sections:

Creating Tangible Value with Design, Part 1 and 2

Monday, August 14, 2:00-3:45 PM

by Brandon Schauer and Steven Toomey

Much of design is about creating something more valuable than what was there before. So why do we as design and UX professionals struggle to connect our work to what organizations value, and how can we improve? We'll traverse current and past research by Adaptive Path and others on this intersection of user experience and business value. In the process, you'll learn practical techniques for finding and increasing the value in your work and communicating it to others. Brandon will be joined by Steven Toomey of the Darden School of Graduate Business Administration at UVA.
