Interview with UX Week Speaker Liz Sanders on Participatory Design

I had the pleasure of speaking with Liz about her methods, and found that she has some gutsy things to say about the importance of everyday folks in the design process…and where that leaves designers.

Well, I guess the problem is similar to how software was developed before usability entered the scene. Developers took most of the decisions. Bringing in “ordinary people” to the design process will help a lot I guess.
I wish the Stockholm Public Transport authorities had done that when designing the new ticket vending machines…
