		<description>What a great topic...my personal version (which I think many of your quoted examples are in alignment with) is "Chance favors the prepared mind." In some ways for me it's kind of a zen (at least a lay interpretation of what zen means) approach - you do what you know is smart, right, best, etc. And you welcome but don't rely on the randomness of the universe. Things happen and although they feel lucky, they wouldn't have happened - or you wouldn't have been ready for them - if you hadn't done the smart stuff ahead of time...</description>
