UX Week Field Trip
by carrieIt’s official: we’ve secured a behind-the-scenes tour of the National Air and Space Museum’s Paul E. Garber Facility for Preservation, Restoration, and Storage. NASM staff will give us the lowdown on how the Museum addresses conservation, restoration, and the graphic and structural fabrication of exhibits—all the invisible activity that goes into presenting the fascinating stories behind the country’s aeronautical history.
Thanks to the efforts of NASM’s Barbara Brennan, who is presenting the morning session “Designing America by Air” on our final conference day, we have been invited to tour the three Garber exhibition buildings, which are otherwise closed to the public.
I think this is going to be a highlight of UX Week.
