Brilliant visual designer and Friend of Adaptive Path Doug Bowman has announced that he’s joining Google as their first ever Visual Design Lead.

I like to think that the work he did with us on redesigning Blogger paved the way for this remarkable opportunity. After that project launched, I had many friends at Google tell me how grateful they were for our work, as it demonstrated that Google *can* have nicely designed products.

This announcement is a bit of a bummer for us, as we won’t be able to collaborate with him any longer, but it’s great for our pals at Google, who get to work with such an amazing talent, and invaluable for Doug, as he gets to put his imprimatur on a range of products with astounding reach.
