Pam Daghlian

The Team

Pam Daghlian is Adaptive Path's Events Manager. Pam has worked in various communications and marketing roles throughout her career in independent bookselling, publishing and car sharing. Always a customer service geek, it wasn't until Pam was hired by Zipcar in early 2002 that she first heard the term 'user experience' and was able to put a name to her affliction.

Pam believes it is crucial to one's work-a-day happiness to be surrounded by great people doing good things. Which is why she works at Adaptive Path. She also believes that everything you need to know in life can be learned waiting tables.

Professional Background

Before coming to Adaptive Path, Pam helped launch Zipcar in the Bay Area as their first Regional Marketing Manager (and staunch voice of the people). She was also the company's first Corporate Communications Manager at Zipcar headquarters in Cambridge, MA during their start-up days (and literally the voice of the company). Before spending years convincing people that it is possible to survive without owning a car, Pam spent a dozen years in the independent bookselling and publishing world, most notably at the award winning Boston indie bookshop, Brookline Booksmith, where, responsible for running the store's reading series, she experienced the highlight of her professional life thus far — making David Sedaris laugh during her introduction of him. Prior to joining Zipcar's Bay Area operation, Pam worked for San Francisco publisher, Chronicle Books, as their Events Manager.

In her spare time, Pam reads books, drives shared cars only when four wheels are necessary, and dreams of being queen of the roller derby. She was raised in the small town of Cadillac, Michigan, most famous for KISS's 1975 homecoming visit. Really
