Today's our fifth anniversary. This month marks the fifth anniversary of the founding of Adaptive Path. We’ve not only survived five long years, we’ve flourished, especially when you consider when, where, and how we started.
When was probably the worst time possible: March 2, 2001. We liked the symbolism of the date (three-two-one, Go!) but the business climate was anything but ideal. Fact is, we just didn’t want to wait. Where isn’t as critical, but the rooftop party announcing our company was the highlight of our South by Southwest visit that year. How we made it work is not a complete surprise to many of the employees, friends, and clients of Adaptive Path, but remarkable considering just how far we’ve come from those bygone days working out of our kitchens, the local coffee shop, or just about anywhere that offered free Internet. Throughout it all, we stuck to our plan, our ideals, and our commitment to improving the user experience.
A lot has transpired over the years. We’ve taken up new digs in the South of Market neighborhood, brought some of the industry’s top talent on board, and, most recently, sold our first product developed wholly in house to Google. It’s been a productive and exciting five years and we look forward to many, many more. Thank you for everything that you’ve done to support our efforts, from our wonderful clients who see the value in what we offer, to our colleagues who share our ideals, and last but not least, to our wonderful supporters and friends all over the world.
By the way, if you’re in the area and want to help us celebrate, we’re having a party this evening: 363 Brannan St, San Francisco, CA, 6pm until late. Stop on by!

Tacos! Tacos for everyone! Come on over for our annual taco-truck anniversary fiesta. We wait all year for this party, and this year we have a lot to celebrate - five great years, success for the Measure Map team, and a bright future for founding partner (and author-to-be) Indi Young.

If last year’s party is any indication, there should be quite a crowd. Hope to see you there! If you think you can make it, rsvp on Upcoming.org.
