Human Resource Director
The Human Resource Director will be an integral part of Adaptive Path's management team. The HR Director will provide HR services and support to all staff. The right individual will participate in ground level decision/policy making as well as big-picture growth and organizational strategy. The position offers excellent visibility and career opportunity.
HR Responsibilities include management, implementation and support the following activities:
- Employee relations
- Performance management
- Professional Development
- Compensation review
- California and federal employment law
- Exit interview process
- Develop, implement and follow up Advocate system
- Adaptive Path processes and policies documentation
- On-boarding of new employees
- Hiring management
In addition to the areas of traditional HR responsibilities:
- Practice Development
Keeping the staff engaged in their work, current with skills/tools/methods, and working as a team is key to our success as a company. The tools and methods we use change frequently and the teams change just as quickly. Coming up with new approaches to survey, develop, and track Practice Development is crucial. - Creative Leadership
Providing formal support that helps our staff deliver on:- Shared Leadership: Adaptive Path encourages rotation of creative leadership -- people should to lead at times and support others
- Cross-training: Adaptive Path is a collaborative environment in which all members of a team should understand and gain experience in a variety of disciplines
- Failure: Failure is a necessary by-product of a creative environment. Adaptive Path is a place where people are allowed to fail, so long as they learn from mistakes.
- Growth
We plan to hire about a person a month for the foreseeable future. We need help considering:- Cultural Issues of such growth
- Billable vs non-billable balance for said growth
- Recruiting — We need folks of a wider variety of experience, and a wider variety of background(all kinds)
- New Offices — We're opening an Austin office and are considering other options
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work-related experience
- At least 5 years human resources experience
- Professional services background a plus
- Exceptional communications and interpersonal skills with all levels
- Problem solving ability
- Professional demeanor and approach
- Ability to travel important
