Rachel Glaves

The Team

Rachel is an experience designer at Adaptive Path. She is fascinated with the current pace of technology and believes that human-centered design has the power to create understanding and inspire delight in a frequently chaotic world.

Professional Background

Before joining Adaptive Path, Rachel worked as a freelance designer for a variety of clients including healthcare technology startups, educational game initiatives, and online academic collaborations. She has designed and helped produce websites, social networking tools, desktop applications, and print materials. Her work led her to develop a variety of skills including visual design, motion graphics, usability testing, and technical implementation, all of which influence her interaction work.

Rachel holds a Bachelors of Arts from Carnegie Mellon University in communication design and human-computer interaction. A self-defined geek, Rachel traces her passion for design back to video games. While interested in any and all games, she is especially inspired by strategic, collaborative, and obscure examples and maintains a modest collection of the weirdest she can find.

Where do great ideas come from?

At Adaptive Path, our ideas are driven by the work we do. We do consulting for user interface and user experience design, and offer conferences, training and education for UX designers.

From field ethnography, UI wireframes and task flows, to visual design and implementation, we do it and we teach it.
